Who is Emma Watson's new boyfriend? The latest on her love life away from the spotlight

After all the latest intel on the Emma Watson boyfriend front? Well, you're definitely not the only one, as the Little Women actress is famous for keeping tight-lipped on her private life, especially in regards to her relationships—meaning details are pretty scarce.

In fact, aside from alluding to having a crush on her Harry Potter costar, Tom Felton, back in the day, Emma never publically comments on her love life and plans to keep it that way. She candidly told Vanity Fair in 2017: "I've noticed, in Hollywood, who you're dating gets tied up into your film promotion and becomes part of the performance and the circus. I would hate anyone that I were with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act."

This, therefore, means that, like with the whole Ariana Grande dating saga and that of Madelyn Cline's boyfriend situation for that matter, any intel on her relationships, is in short supply but here's what we've managed to suss out anyway...

Emma Watson boyfriend: who is she dating now?

While of course, Emma hasn't confirmed or commented on a new relationship, The Sun reported in June 2023 that she was apparently spending time with American businessman, Ryan Walsh, following her split from Brandon Green.

A source told the publication: "They have known each other for some time and now she is single she is making sure she enjoys herself," this comes after they were spotted together in Venice earlier this summer. So, perhaps we'll get a few more vacation sightings before this season is through.

Alas, that's all we've got for you in regards to her current boyfriend situation (see, we told you details were few and far between!), so let's instead turn to Emma's dating history...

Emma Watson dating history: who has she been linked to previously?

When it comes to Emma Watson's boyfriend list, The Beauty and The Beast's leading lady has been linked to a few notable names, including Glee alum Chord Overstreet and former Made In Chelsea cast member Francis Boulle. And yes, obviously, we're going to discuss those adorable Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy rumors because no, we're still not over it!

Brandon Green

Dating rumors were seemingly confirmed between Emma Watson and Brandon Green (son of fashion tycoon, Sir Philip Green) in August 2022, after the pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand in Venice.

They reportedly dated for 18 months, before sources told the Daily Mail in May 2023, that they had called it quits sometime after Christmas—though this was not officially confirmed.

Leo Robinton

Before her relationship with Green, Emma was also linked to businessman, Leo Robinton after they were spotted kissing in October 2019 in London. Fans didn't learn his identity until April however, months after the pictures hit the headlines and since then, the pair were spotted together on numerous occasions.

Emma was then forced to deny engagement rumors in May 2021, tweeting to fans: "If I have news—I promise I'll share it with you."

Dear Fans, Rumours about whether I’m engaged or not, or whether my career is “dormant or not” are ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue.May 17, 2021Though neither confirmed, it's thought the couple split in the months following, before Emma was spotted with Brandon Green in August 2022.

Brendan Wallace

Emma was rumored to be dating venture capitalist, Brendan Wallace in October 2018 after the pair were photographed kissing. Not a ton is known about this relationship though, or when they split (if they even actually dated), with Emma confirming that was single and 'self-partnered' in her 2019 interview with British Vogue.

William "Mack" Knight

Before her brief relationship with Chord Overstreet, Emma dated Silicon Valley manager, William "Mack" Knight for two years, from 2015.

In her 2017 Vanity Fair interview, she refused to speak on her relationship, understandably wanting to protect it from the spotlight. They're thought to have split later that year.

Before her relationship with William "Mack" Knight, Roberto Aguire revealed to Just Jared that he and Emma briefly dated in June 2015, after initially meeting on the set of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, years before.

Matthew Janney

Emma dated Oxford University rugby player, Matthew Janney for nearly a year in 2014, before calling it quits in December of that same year

Will Adamowicz

Before Janney, Emma was also linked to fellow Oxford uni student, Will Adamowicz in 2013, the pair are thought to have dated for 10 months, with Emma's reps confirming to People that they had broken up in 2014, they said: "Emma and Will separated last summer and are no longer in touch."

Rafael Cebrian

According to the Daily Mail, Emma also dated fellow Brown University student, Rafael following her split from Jay Barrymore.

A source said: "Emma has been spending a lot of time with Rafael and they are virtually inseparable."

Jay Barrymore

Emma and Jay Barrymore dated for two years between 2008 and 2009, before Emma headed to the US to study at Brown University.  Long distance supposedly played a part in their split.

Francis Boulle

Emma was also linked to Made in Chelsea star, Francis Boulle, who confirmed in an interview with Heat Magazine in 2011, via The Sun, that they, "had a bit of a thing a while back."

He revealed that he broke things off because he wanted to,  "achieve my own notoriety for what I've done," rather than being linked to her fame. He added: "I actually really like Emma. She's a really cool person. She's a very different person to who she is in the media. That's what I liked about her—she's very interesting."

Angus Willoughby

According to the Telegraph, Emma dated Australian drama student, Angus Willoughby in 2008, though it's unclear how long they saw each other or when they split.

Did Tom Felton and Emma Watson date?

Sadly, no the pair never dated but omg, have the Harry Potter costars made us swoon over their dreamy (but platonic) relationship...

This saga really gained traction with HBO's Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, in which Emma revealed that she fell in love with Tom on the set of the films. She said: "I just don't know how to say it—I just fell in love with him. I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day."

Tom also addressed Emma's crush, saying: "I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, 'Yeah, she had a crush on you'.

"I became very protective over her. Yeah, I've always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There's always been something that's like, I don't know, a kinship."They then fuelled our delulu Hermoine and Draco ship further, with Emma calling Tom her "Soulmate" in the forward to his memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard.

She wrote: "It's one of the purest loves I can think of. We're soulmates, and we've always had each other's backs. I know we always will." Honestly, can they get any cuter? So, there you have it, you're all caught up on Emma Watson's dating life—and as usual, if we receive any further updates, you'll be the first to know.
