SUMMARY

  •  Retired Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder supports Raquel's claim that producers cut a scene at Sandoval's request, despite Bravo denying it.
  •  Stassi believes that producers have a history of favoring the male cast members and covering for them, even at the expense of the women.
  •  Stassi's backing of Raquel's claim and her empathetic approach to the topic show that her opinions on her ex-co-stars hold weight and should be considered.

Retired Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder corroborates Raquel's claim that producers cut a scene at Sandoval's demand. Raquel finally broke her silence in an interview with RHONY alum Bethenny Frankel, where she revealed never-before-heard details and her side of Scandoval. Nonetheless, many stuck with their harsh viewpoint on the VPR star.

In familiar fashion post-scandal, Raquel defended herself by placing allegations against Tom Sandoval. One of the more notable claims in the interview was that Sandoval received "producer credit" and demanded production cut a scene that involved the cheating co-stars conversing in a way that painted him in a bad light.

In the latest Straight Up With Stassi episode, the former Vanderpump Rules character Stassi Schroeder defends one of Raquel's bolder claims following the incident. Stassi thinks Raquel has fabricated some details; however, she feels certain that Sandoval insisting a scene be removed and getting his way is true.

"That was a straight-up truth I know that Rachel told because it's happened before," she said. Bravo refuted this claim in its entirety. Stassi called this practice "so dark" but added that she "understand[s] that producers have a job to do," explaining that it makes sense in the situation considering Sandoval's continued participation was necessary.

Stassi Claims VPR Has A Long History Of "Covering For The Dudes"

Stassi confidently backs Raquel's claim because she's seen it herself. "That happened all the time on VPR when I was there," referencing the cut scene. She continued, reflecting on her and her former female co-stars' experiences, "where production has covered for the dudes, and we have just had to heal ourselves." Stassi claims she witnessed, on numerous occasions, producers cutting scenes in the past to benefit the men, sometimes at the cost of the women. Her recollection of her time on VPR sounds comparable to what Raquel alleges happened with Sandoval and the producers.

All Vanderpump fans may not welcome Stassi’s opinion, but most would find interest in her substantiating Raquel’s claims. The idea of her slightly backing Raquel isn’t entirely unexpected, but considering the heat the VPR star has been taking following the scandal, it's bold. Regardless of personal thoughts on Raquel, it's hard to ignore that Sandoval pleading for a scene to be deleted for his image is entirely on brand for him. Bravo denies allowing Sandoval to have any input in editing Vanderpump Rules season 10, but Raquel, Frankel, and now Stassi have spoken against the network’s statement.

Stassi Schroeder backs Raquel on at least one claim. She additionally spoke sensitively and empathetically on the topic as a whole. The former Vanderpump Rules star doesn't overwhelm with her opinions on her ex-co-stars, but when she does, viewers tune in. Raquel can be held accountable and disliked for her role in Scandoval, but her truth should always be accepted where it's proven.
