Loki Deleted 1 Chris Hemsworth Scene - Here's How To Watch It

Chris Hemsworth was originally set to appear as Thor in Loki season 1 but was cut from the series; however, fans will now be able to watch his scene.

SUMMARY

  •  A deleted scene from Loki season 1 featuring Chris Hemsworth as Throg will be included in the physical release.
  •  Throg possibly having a cameo in Loki season 2 could add comedic relief to the season's serious plot and help break the tension.
  •  Having Hemsworth as Throg in Loki season 2 would allow him to cameo alongside Tom Hiddleston and bring together the MCU stars in the Disney+ series.

A Loki season 1 deleted scene featuring Thor actor Chris Hemsworth will now be available for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans to watch. Loki season 1 focused on the variant of Tom Hiddleston's character that escaped using the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame being apprehended by the Time Variance Authority. The variant Loki would then learn about what happened to the main version of the character in the MCU, receiving a history lesson from Owen Wilson's Mobius B. Mobius. That sequence would have featured Hemsworth as a cameo had his scene not been cut.

Now, with Marvel's announcement that Loki season 1 will be released on physical home media, Hemsworth's scene in the series is making a comeback. The announcement revealed that Loki season 1's physical release will include several bonus features, with one deleted scene labeled "Loki’s Coronation." A description for the scene was provided, which states: "Mobius reviews some moments from Loki’s timeline, in which Frog Thor makes an appearance during Loki’s coronation." While Frog Thor, known as Throg, made a cameo in Loki season 1, the character had no lines. Now, Hemsworth will properly appear as Throg when Loki season 1's physical release hits stores on September 26.

Why Loki Season 1's Deleted Scene May Be Mentioned In Season 2

The deleted scene featuring Hemsworth as Throg being released right before Loki season 2's October 6 premiere date makes it possible that the character will come back for season 2. Marvel fans were excited to see Throg back in Loki season 1, episode 5, only for the character to briefly appear with no lines. By having Throg in a cameo role in Loki season 2, Marvel would be paying off that moment, as not all fans who watched the show will buy the season 1 physical release.

Besides, having Throg appear even as a cameo is great for Loki season 2 in multiple ways. The new season of the show will feature a serious plot, as the TVA was reshaped in Kang the Conqueror's image at the end of season 1, and Loki season 2's trailer, as well as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania's post-credits scene, have shown that Loki and Mobius will deal with another Kang variant, Victor Timely, in season 2. Throg's presence could bring a nice comedic touch to break the new season's tension.

Throg showing up in Loki season 2 would also be a fun way of having Hemsworth cameo. Hemsworth and Hiddleston's MCU histories are intertwined since the actors have played the brothers Thor and Loki for years. With a possible meeting between the main Thor and the Loki from the series likely being saved for a movie, having Hemsworth appear as Throg in Loki season 2 is the best way to have the two MCU stars act opposite one another in the Disney+ series.
